In
March 2008, I was hired by IACC
to draw a Town
Hall meeting at their North American conference.
It was a pleasure to be in the company of people who
care about great meetings as much as I do. IACC certifies
conference centers around the world on a set of criteria
(see the left side of the drawing, for the categories).
Their focus is on 25-75 person meetings, and their
spaces are designed for productive, focused meetings.
I've had the pleasure to work many times at Chicago's
Summit
Executive Centre, an IACC member. I've enjoyed
working there so much, I put in my vote for the Summit
as the location for this
year's graphic facilitator's conference. And that
was before I ever heard of IACC! The quality
of the space spoke for itself.
At
the annual conference I picked up IACC's introductory
brochure, "The Conference Center Concept."
Similar
content here. Wanting to share my skills as a
graphic facilitator with the attendees and wanting
to share the benefits of IACC spaces here on my site,
I drew this image:
